For 35 years, glasses were the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I took off at the end of the day. My decision to have Cataract Surgery with Dr. Velazquez was the best thing I have ever done. I will never be able to thank him enough for the care and concern he had for the whole process of my surgery. My vision and life are so happy now! I love being able to put on eye makeup. As a dental hygienist, my work involves looking upside down and up close in a mirror as well as seeing what the doctor is doing across the room. My sight is fantastic at any distance thanks to Dr. Velazquez's implantation of the RESTOR Premium Lens. Thank you Dr. V!

Dr. Price Kloess has taken care of my eyes for over twelve years. He surgically repaired my corneas which had scars all over them from repeated tears and detachments. Other doctors told me that there wasn't a permanent cure for my problem but Dr. Kloess corrected them twelve years ago and they are still perfect. He also surgically reduced my overly large eyelids, which greatly improved my peripheral vision and my appearance as well. I have nothing but praise for all of the doctors and staff at the Alabama Vision Center.

I had LASIK Friday and I can see great! I've had such a wonderful experience. Friday afternoon my two-year-old even noticed that I was no longer wearing glasses. He put his hand up to my eyes and said "Mommy, pretty eyes". Well worth it!!

The procedure lasted less than 5 minutes. It was quick, easy, and painless. Everybody was helpful and communicated to me every step of the way. No More "Laser In A Box"
I'm about 2 months out from my ASA procedure and couldn't be happier with the results. I had a ASA procedure done in my right eye at another local "laser in a box". While I was treated well there, the results after one year and two procedures in the right eye; are not as good as the results I received at Alabama Vision Center by Dr. Velazquez in my left eye. Additionally, the post operative discomfort and pain was almost zero. I would rate the discomfort a 1 or 2 from the Alabama Vision Center procedure to about a 7 or 8 as compared to post operative pain from the local "laser in a box". I would rather have it done right the first time, rather than a life time of enhancements.

Well I can still not believe I can see. I woke up for the first time in 27 years and was able to see the room around me. My wife looks more beautiful than ever. So I was very pleased to have 20/15 vision today. My life is forever changed. I can't wait to go on my first bike ride with out contacts. What a beautiful world God has made - now I can see it!!!

Very friendly and professional staff. Follow strict infection control procedures i.e. wiping down equipment & hand hygiene. Performed thorough eye exam and also tested hearing. Can access your records on line. Not pressured to purchase anything and provide information needed to make a decision about which route to take; glasses or LASIK surgery. Highly recommend!
